Welcome to Nields Academy - proud to be part of Great Heights Academy Trust

On behalf of the children, staff and Governors, I would like to warmly welcome you to Nields Academy’s website.

We are a village school which prides itself in creating a happy, caring, family atmosphere where everyone is encouraged and inspired to achieve their potential and develop a love of learning. Children lie at the heart of everything we do and every decision within the school is made by firstly considering what is in the best interest of our children.

Nields Academy is a unique and creative environment, with fantastic outdoor space. We believe that our school is an inspiring place which energises learning and encourages children to develop an enquiring mind, a desire for knowledge, high personal expectations and understanding and respect for others. Our pupils thrive and shine, and leave us as compassionate, happy, reflective and adaptable young people.

We believe we have a unique combination of features here at Nields Academy which makes it a wonderful place to educate children, where all members of the community work in partnership to achieve the very best for every child.

Please take the time to browse our site and find out more about our lovely school. You are more than welcome to visit us, see our school at first hand and meet our friendly children and staff.

Mrs Jenni Wyrill,

Update re Nields Academy Nursery Provision

The local governing body (LGB) of Nields Academy are considering the viability of our nursery provision and potentially change the school age from a 3-11 age range (which it currently is) to 4-11 i.e. to close the nursery. A consultation to gather feedback and perspectives from all stakeholders and interested parties, such as parents, staff and the local community is now open and will end on 24th May 2024. Please read the following letter for more details and how to give your views:

    Arbor Parent Portal
Good afternoon Thank you to those who have logged into the Parent Portal. We have currently reached 51% of pupils who have a guardian that has logged in at least once. Now we need to reach 100%! It is vital all guardians have the Parent Portal as we use Arbor to keep you informed about your child’s life at school. You can log into Arbor to see and update your child’s information, check your child’s attendance and sign up to clubs and trips. From Monday 3rd June, we will no longer be using ParentPay and will be switching over to Arbor for all payments. Login emails from Arbor have been resent to those who have not yet set up a parent portal account. Logging in couldn’t be easier -just click on the link in the email, select first time logging in and follow the steps to create your account. You will also need to confirm your child’s date of birth. If you need any help, visit https://support.arbor-education.com/hc/en-us/categories/360003289557-Parent-Portal-and-App-for-parents for some great guides on the Arbor Help Centre. Attached is also a leaflet for help logging in for the first time. If you have any issues, please contact the school office. Many thanks
